Writing Affirmations - a journaling meditation
I began by finding the root cause of upper back pain which, according to Louise Hay, is a lack of emotional support or feeling unloved. I took the affirmation from her book, "I love and approve of myself. Life supports me and loves me" and started writing how I felt about that. I wrote everything that crossed my mind from thoughts about my messy house, to my career, to my friends, family and of course, my own self approval. I suddenly had memories from childhood that I could explore. I had insights that I never even imagined. Amazingly enough after three weeks of this practice, my neck pain is gone and I've made the steps to accept emotional support and love into my life. A double win!

New Years Workshop
New Years is a beautiful time for reflection and planning for the future. Stretch Chi and Thrive Art Therapy are combining expertise on December 30th for an afternoon of letting go and embracing the future. The workshop begins at Thrive with a blank canvas and plenty of art supplies. We'll begin exploring our inner worlds through art. Next we'll venture across the hall to Stretch Chi to stretch 2018 out of our bodies and welcome in the New Year with harmony and balance. Afterwards we'll return to Thrive to re-explore through art after stretching and share with the group. Stretch Chi utilizes the innovative new method of flexibility training, Ki-Hara Resistance Stretching. Thrive Art Therapy uses art media, the creative process and the resulting artwork as a therapeutic and healing process. Join us Sunday December 30th 2-5 pm Light Refreshments included. Early registration is $50 until December 19th Price increases to $75 on October 20th

How is Ki-Hara so easy and so effective? Understanding how to get and incredible workout when your energy levels are low

I have always struggled to workout. I was born pre-mature with low lung capacity and have always felt winded and burning in my lungs before my muscles tire out. Because of this, any sort of workout routine feels I put in so much effort and don't get the results that I want. When I started doing Ki-Hara, I found that I was able to get massive results with minimal effort and it felt so good. Suddenly I had muscle tone and the body I'd always wanted and I didn't even break a sweat. Why is this?

 If and when I try to, I end up looking more like a zombie searching for a contact lens. I have never been flexible; I have always wanted to be. And that.. is my secret shame.
