WORKSHOPS & CERTIFICATION
Learn resistance stretching in person
Stretch Chi workshops and professional training offer an opportunity to explore resistance stretching through hands-on instruction. These experiences are designed for people who want to understand the work more deeply, whether you’re learning for yourself, bringing a workshop to your community, or developing skills you can use professionally.
Workshops and trainings are scheduled selectively throughout the year and may also be arranged for groups and organizations.
Ways to Work Together
Stretch Chi offers two ways to explore resistance stretching in a live setting. You can bring the work to a group through a workshop, or study the method more deeply through professional training and certification.
Workshops
Stretch Chi workshops introduce resistance stretching through guided, hands-on learning. They can be arranged for studios, organizations, community groups, retreats, and other gatherings interested in exploring movement, flexibility, and body awareness together.
Professional Training & Certification
For people who want to study assisted resistance stretching more deeply, Stretch. Chi also offers professional education and certification through Ki-Hara Resistance Stretching. Training provides a structured way to learn the principles, techniques, and practical application of the Ki-Hara Method of Resistance Stretching.
WORKSHOPS
Resistance stretching, learned together
Stretch Chi workshops give participants an opportunity to experience resistance stretching in a group setting while learning the principles that make the method work. The emphasis is on understanding what you’re doing, noticing how your own body responds, and leaving with ideas you can continue to explore after the workshop is over.
Workshops can be adapted to the group and setting, whether you’re planning an event for a studio, organization, community, retreat, or another gathering. The format can focus on guided resistance stretching, movement education, or a deeper introduction to the Stretch Chi approach.
A workshop may be a good fit for:
Studios and movement communities
Wellness or educations organizations
Retreats and special events
Groups interested in learning resistance stretching together
PROFESSIONAL TRAINING & CERTIFICATION
Learn the Ki-Hara method in greater depth
Stretch Chi professional training is designed for people who want to develop a deeper understanding of assisted resistance stretching and learn how to apply the method with others. Training combines the principles behind the work with hands-on practice, giving you time to develop technique, ask questions, and understand how the stretches can be adapted to the person in front of you.
Certification training may be appropriate for movement professionals, bodyworkers, fitness professionals, or others who want to add resistance stretching to the work they already do. Training is scheduled selectively and may be arranged for individuals or small groups.
Training includes:
The principles behind resistance stretching
Hands-on assisted stretching techniques
Practice applying and adapting the stretches
Guidance in using the Ki-Hara method professionally
SCHEDULING & HOSTING
Bring Stretch Chi to your group or community
Workshops and professional trainings are scheduled on a limited basis rather than through a regular public calendar. If you have a group, studio, organization, retreat, or other setting where Stretch Chi might be a good fit, we can start with a conversation about what you’re looking for.
Location, group size, format, and timing can all vary depending on the training. Once I know a little more about your group and what you hope to learn, I can let you know what may be possible and whether the opportunity is a good fit for my current teaching schedule.
You do not need to have a workshop fully planned before getting in touch.
